Dark Lip Neutalization
What are the benefits of lip blush?
Lip blush adds colour to your lips. It can help to restore youthfulness to aging, pale lips. It can also help to tone out undesirable dark tones like grays, purples, or browns. While we cannot go outside the natural border of your lips, we can maximize the size of your lips by colouring the entirety of the lip tissue, making you appear to have bigger lips. Lip Blush can also help make your lips more symmetrical.

I get coldsores, how will that affect my lip blushing?
Coldsores are easily prevented with antiviral medication. Upon booking, you will receive a pre-care package outlining what you need to prepare for the service. With proper preparation, coldsores are not a problem.
If you do not take an anti-viral and experience coldsores, you will have at least one appear usually on the third day. Where the coldsore appears, you will be left with no pigment.
How long does lip blush last?
Generally, lip blush will need to be refreshed every 2-3 years. That doesn’t mean that it is gone, just that its no longer perfect or the exact color that you want.
Can I eat and drink normally after lip blush?
Lip Blushing takes up to 5 days until it has fully flaked/peeled. During that time, you are instructed to avoid salty and spicy foods as they can cause discomfort. It is also advised to steer clear of easily staining foods like red wine and bleaching agents such as whitening toothpaste.
How does Dark Lip Neutralization differ from lip blushing?
Dark lips are a much more intensive process. It is always easier to make something darker in color than it is to make something lighter. Dark lips have a different texture and are at a higher risk for complications such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.
Expect at least three sessions for dark lips, separated by 8-16 weeks apart. The darker the lip, the longer we need to schedule between sessions.
When choosing your artist, it is crucial that they understand color theory and how to work with the different texture of dark lips. This knowledge will increase your success and reduce risks.
