Our Shading and Nano strokes class is designed to have our artists walking out confident, capable and able to master the art of lining and shading.
Upon completion of this course you’ll be able to create Powder Brows, Ombré brows, Combo Brows and Nano Brows. This intensive 6 classroom day course will cover everything a beginner artist needs to know and provide 3 separate models. See below for full course breakdown.
Minimum basic understanding and minimal skill levels are required to pass our class. Certificates are NOT given for attendance.
Course Includes:
- Before Class Practice
- 6-Intensive classroom days
- 2– live models completed by instructor
- 2 – live student model to be completed in class
- 1 additional student models to be completed within 30 days after class
- Up to 5 shadow days for student to watch services being completed at Brow Envy.
- 12 months additional support.

Course Curriculum
Before Class)
- At home practice with pen and paper. Mastering your motions PRIOR to class.
Day 1)
- Health and Safety
- Understanding the client – help you to relate and ease their fears.
- Qualifying your clients
- Skin anatomy and physiology
- Pathophysiology and PMU
- Get to know your machine
- Needle theory
- Practice Shading with machine
- Practice Hairstroke Patterning (on paper)
Day 2)
- 3 Components of Colour Theory:
- 1a) skin Undertones/Overtones
- 2a) Ink composition. Understanding the types of pigments, milling of the pigments, carriers etc.
- 3a) Understanding the relationship between the skin and ink.
- How to pick the right ink for your client
- Healing
- Patch Testing
- Numbing
- Practice Shading
- Practice Hairstroke Patterning (on Fake skin)
Day 3)
- Brow Mapping Demo and Student Practice
- Practice Shading on skins
- Practice Hairstroke tattooing on skins
Day 4)
- Live Demo by instructor
