What Is Microblading

Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing. Unlike traditional tattooing which uses a tattoo machine, microblading uses a comb-like blade to cut the skin.  Once the skin has been cut, ink is rubbed into the open wound to create hair-like stokes.

Microblading needs to be refreshed every 12-18 months. This does not mean that your pigment will be gone, just that the hairstrokes will be softer, lighter and will have begun to blur.

Clients must have:

  1. Dry-Normal skin
  2. Collagen rich skin. Clients ages 40+ are often not candidates due to decreasing collagen.
  3. Little to no sun damage
  4. Virgin skin or extremely faded permanent makeup with no funny colors like grey/pink.

Microblading is a tattoo, and while it will fade,  we cannot ever guarantee that it will completely fade away.

Overtime the in will soften and blur. Many clients will be left with a soft filled in brow that resembles a powder brow.

Yes.

Microblading cuts the skin, and all cuts, regardless of their severity, cause scarring overtime.

Here at Brow Envy we will do everything to minimize client risks. Meaning that we will turn away clients who are not good candidates and we will tell you when you need to switch from Microblading to other modalities.

Microblading is a limited service. Usually clients skin maxes out at about 5 treatments before needing to switch.

Here at Brow Envy we numb you before and during your Microblading appointment.

Most clients report a max pain of 4/10 during service. It is the most painful of all the brow services, as it is a cut, rather than a poke to the skin.
